Student Employment Opportunities

In order to support and further our mission to remain a student-centric facility, the SMC accepts ongoing applications during the Fall and Spring semesters for student employment.  To empower and employ our students, we offer the following positions:  

The SMC is regularly hiring for: 

Information Desk Attendants

• $9.50 x hour starting rate
• Flexible Work Schedule
• Hours 7 Days a Week 6am - 12am
• Additional $1 per hour for shifts before 9am and after 9pm

SMC Student Shift Managers

• $11 x hour starting rate
• Flexible Work Schedule
• Hours 7 Days a Week 6am - 12am
• Additional $1 per hour for shifts before 9am and after 9pm
• Management experience required OR 1 semester as an Info Desk Attendant

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a Millersville University student at time of employment
• Must be available to work weekends
• Must be available to work 15 - 20 hours per week (Max 30 hours x week)
• Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Previous experience in customer service is preferred, but not required

 

Event Setup Crew

• $12.50 x hour starting rate
• Extremely Flexible Work Schedule
• Work as many/little hours as you prefer
• Setups occur daily at all times and range from 15 min to 1 hour
• Setups include moving/setting up chairs & tables for SMC events

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a Millersville University student at time of employment
• Must be available to work weekends
• Must be available to work 15 - 20 hours per week (Max 30 hours x week)
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 20 lbs (tables, chairs)
