A single scholarship will be awarded for fall 2024. A recipient may receive this educational resource award only once. The financial aid office determines the actual award amount based on the recipient's total financial aid package.
Eligibility
African-American and Latino graduate students at Millersville University actively pursuing a master's degree are eligible to apply and must anticipate being enrolled in the fall semester following application (when the award will be given) and taking at least 6 credits. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 with 12 or more graduate credits passed. [Note: 12 credits must be passed by December 31, 2023.]
At of the opening of the scholarship cycle, an applicant must self-identify as African-American or Latino, a citizen of the United States or its territories, and be enrolled as a graduate student actively pursuing a master's degree when applying for the scholarship. [If any of the information pertaining to an applicant’s qualifications has been falsified, this Scholarship Committee reserves the right to reject an applicant.]
Requirements
- Candidates must complete an application (step 3): which includes name, address, degree program, undergraduate degree institution, current grade point average and credits completed to date.
- Candidates must include a Personal Goals Statement (step 3): a paragraph of 100 words or less.
Applications failing to include all requested information by the closing date will be disqualified.
