Who is eligible for the General Education waiver?
Students who have earned their Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree or fulfilled the general education requirements at a prior institution are eligible for a General Education waiver at Millersville University.
Please note: This applies to students admitted summer 2022 or later. If a student admitted prior to summer 2022 would like to request review and a catalog term change in order to be eligible for the waiver, they should discuss it with their academic advisor and submit a request to registrar@millersville.edu.

How do I know whether or not I have satisfied my general education requirements at my prior institution?
If you are unsure if you met the General Education requirement you are encouraged to contact the Registrar's office at your previous institution.
Some institutions, like Millersville University, have a degree audit that will demonstrate your status in their General Education program. Others may not and you would need an official letter from the Registrar’s office at that institution indicating that you met the General Education requirements at the time of your departure.

What if I selected Yes that I have satisfied my GE requirements, but actually have not met the requirements?
If your first semester at Millersville University has not started, please contact the appropriate admissions office by email to notify them that you accidentally marked this item so that it can be removed from your record.

ONLINE STUDENTS: onlineprograms@millersville.edu
If your first semester has started, you will be contacted by the Registrar’s office by email (registrar@millersville.edu) to verify your status and at that time, you can notify us that you will not qualify for the General Education waiver based on your status at your previous institution.

If your first semester at Millersville University has not started, please contact the appropriate admissions office by email to notify them that you accidentally marked this item so that it can be removed from your record.

If your first semester has started, please contact the Registrar’s office by email (registrar@millersville.edu) to notify them that you neglected to indicate you would qualify for the General Education waiver based on your status at your previous institution. You will need to accompany this request with the transcript showing your associate’s degree or the verification of meeting General Education at your prior institution.
