Mission

The mission of the Honors College at Millersville University is to provide distinctive learning opportunities appropriate to students of high academic promise. The honors core curriculum is complemented by the completion of additional honors courses and a senior thesis.

Through a combination of selective admission, continual mentoring, rigorous academic standards and a sense of communal involvement, the MU Honors College seeks to enhance and facilitate the learning experience.

Students receiving honors degrees are recognized during the commencement ceremony and on their permanent records. All honors classes are identified on official transcripts. 

Completion of an honors degree indicates exceptional achievement during undergraduate study and weighs heavily with prospective employers or graduate admissions officers. Both personally and professionally, students benefit from the individualized instruction and special programs that characterize the Honors College at Millersville University.
