About Us
General Information
The Millersville University Honors College offices are located in Franklin House at 6 N. George St. The Honors College is specially designed to provide a challenging and enriching education for talented and motivated students. The Honors College actively recruits students with combined SAT scores in Reading and Math of 1250 or higher and who are in the top 10-15% of their high school class. Since motivation, enthusiasm and commitment to learning are often better predictors of success in the program than test scores, we encourage all seriously interested students to apply--even those who do not meet the formal criteria.
Students who have been accepted into the Honors College are encouraged to raise their academic and professional sights beyond what they have imagined. The Honors College provides academic guidance and preparation, which will prepare students to prosper in graduate/professional schools or in the business world. The Honors College stresses a high quality and comprehensive liberal arts education. The program exposes students to the intellectual foundations of modern culture in science, mathematics, humanities and social sciences through a specially designed honors curriculum.
In 2024, 119 new students were welcomed into the Honors College. Enrollment usually varies from 250 to 350 students. We find that many of the students enrolled in the Honors College are looking for a program that encourages independent thought and research in a smaller academic environment. That's why we strive to keep classes at or under 25 students.
**Please note that the Honors College is closed to applications until later this fall**
