Interfraternity Council (IFC)

Ifc

Interfraternity Council (IFC) aims to host a recruitment week each semester for interested individuals to meet all the fraternities in this council at once. Each fraternity does host their own rush week for each semester. Interested individuals are encouraged to attend different rush events to get to know each organization to learn about their values and to get to know different chapter members.

Meetings take bi-weekly. Each Interfraternity Council chapter is required to send at least one delegate.

Panhellenic Conference (NPC)

Phc

Panhellenic Council (NPC) sororities have a week of recruitment in the Spring each year and individual recruitment in the fall. This week includes various fun & exciting events for potential sisters to meet members from all of the sororities on campus. Each event is an opportunity for potential new members (PNM's) to ask questions and experience what each organization has to offer. There is a mutual selection process culminating in what is termed Bid Day.

Meetings take bi-weekly. Each Panhellenic Council chapter is required to send at least one delegate.

Cultural Greek Council

The Cultural Greek Council is made up of 7 National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) sororities and fraternities, 1 National Multicultural Greek Council (NMGC) sorority and 2 National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) fraternity and sorority. These organizations decide individually when they are going to have a Membership Intake Process (or “Intake”), and will then hold an information/interest session and select candidates from those interested individuals. The best way to find out about Intake is to attend the programs of the fraternities or sororities you are interested in, and let the members know that you would like to know more about joining.

Representatives are expected to participate, work on committees within CGC, and positively work toward the goals of the council.
