PA Department of Labor & Industry Digital Literacy and Workforce Development Grant
Develop Your Digital Literacy Skills
Millersville University is partnering with the Columbia Public Library, Columbia Borough, Columbia School District, Lancaster County Workforce Development Board, and PA CareerLink® of Lancaster County to provide computer skills training to unemployed and underemployed participants. This training is focused on providing the skills to assist participants in job seeking and job performance, while increasing the level of computer skills in the general community. We will accomplish this through a combination of in-person technology assistance and workshops on common technology issues. Our partnership with the PA CareerLink® of Lancaster County will make online computer classes available to interested participants. This will create significant opportunities for lifelong learning and skill-building. Participants will receive a certificate of completion for each course that is successfully completed. Walk-ins seeking help on a particular issue are welcome. Hours will be posted at the Columbia Public Library and at https://columbiapubliclibrary.org/
