Hamilton Letterpress Museum and Workshop
Name: Blaine,
Advisor: Nancy Mata
Department: ART
Award: Student Research Grant
Abstract: Hamilton Wood Type and Letterpress Museum, located in Wisconsin, has the most extensive collection of wood type in the country. Although there may be local letterpress printers, no one rivals the over 1.5 million wood-type pieces available at the Hamilton Museum. Going to the museum will provide an opportunity that would combine a workshop, lectures, and tour. The trip would take place over three days. This trip would further my research and education in the history of typography, allowing me to use this process in my design work.
