Internal Funding
The principal internal grant program for funding faculty research is the Faculty Grants Program. These awards, made exclusively to faculty, support a variety of activities including research, publication, travel to present, special academic activities, and release time. These awards can help faculty engage undergraduates in research projects.

SUBMISSION DEADLINES FOR GRANT CYCLES
- Fall Cycle: 9:00 a.m., October 2
(Activities from Sept. 1 - Dec. 31) - Spring Cycle: March 1
(Activities from Jan. 1 - May 31) - Summer Cycle: June 1
(Activities from June 1 - Aug. 31)
Note: If the 1st falls on a weekend, the deadline is moved to the following Monday
All grant proposals must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the submission deadline. Requests for extensions will not be honored.

OGSPR Discretionary Funding
The Office of Grants, Sponsored Programs, and Research has limited funds available to support faculty activity that will lead to or add to sponsored research, service, and creative activity.
The following activities can be supported by this funding:
- Travel
- Equipment & Supplies
- Student Research Assistants
- Matching Funds (Voluntary or Required) for External Grants & Contracts

The Office of Grants, Sponsored Programs, and Research has limited funds available to support STUDENT research and creative activity.
The following activities can be supported by this funding:
- Travel for research, collaboration, or presenting - up to $500 for individual travel, up to $1,000 for international travel, and up to $1,000 for group travel – depending on level of need.
