Name: Schoener,
Advisor: Lauren Kaiser
Department: PSYCH
Award: Student Research Grant
Abstract: This proposal seeks support for funding to travel to the National Association of School Psychologists' Annual Convention, February 2022, in Boston, MA, to co-present a symposium session titled, Adapting the Classroom Check-Up: Novel Approaches to Teacher Support. The symposium proposal was recently accepted and will include an overview of recent novel adaptations to the Classroom Check-Up Model (CCU), which is an effective teacher support service that school psychologists are specially positioned to provide. Presenters will share three primary adaptations of the model, namely CCU delivered via teleconsultation, Supporting Teachers in Engaging Parents (STEP), and the Double Check CCU Coach-the-Coach Model. This symposium will share real-world examples and resources for implementation.
