Abstract: The article discusses a project in which "Ada Byron Lovelace and the Thinking Machine," a picture book and biography about the first computer programmer, was used to engage students in solving problems related to computer programming by designing a simple web page. After reading the book, children can be engaged in a discussion about Ada Lovelace's story using questions. Students can be taught about Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), a computer programming language used to create websites.
