Abstract: The article explores the influence of the Plymouth colony on the religious practices of the Massachusetts churches. Topics discussed include the role played by New Englanders John Davenport, Thomas Hooker, and John Cotton in reforming England's national church and the influence of pastor John Robinson on the development of the Congregational Way which was transported to Plymouth in New England.
