Student Learning Outcomes
Students Will:
- Demonstrate a familiarity with key figures in the history of philosophy
- Demonstrate an understanding of important philosophical theories from different cultural traditions
- Be able to articulate how some key philosophical theories are significant for social issues of the present
- Engage in critical reasoning by appropriately applying the techniques of informal and formal logic
- Be able to read primary and secondary philosophical literature critically (as evidenced by raising salient questions or criticisms)
- Be able to communicate arguments effectively
