Stephen Shiffer

Stephen Shiffer holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University. He performs regularly as a tenor and bass trombonist throughout Central PA and the Delaware Valley with the Festive Brass, the Buzz Jones Big Band, and the River City Big Band.  As a member of Quartet Die/Posaunen, he performed at the International Trombone Association workshop at Western Michigan University, the Eastern Trombone workshop in Washington DC, and the New England Trombone workshop in Holyoke, MA.  As a pit musician, he has performed with numerous musical productions in theaters including the Kimmel Center, Hershey, American Music, Mt. Gretna, Whitaker Center, Strand, and the Fulton.  He has also  performed with artists including Natalie Cole, Bernadette Peters, Manhattan Transfer, Johnny Mathis, Celtic Woman, The Temptations, and The Four Tops, just to name a few.  Stephen has over 30 years experience in private brass instruction, and also maintains a studio at his home in Stevens, PA.
