Certificate in Music Management
The Music Management Certificate Program is unique to the Tell School of Music and provides an opportunity for students in degrees outside of Music to gain the knowledge and obtain the skills to work in the music industry in a role that includes their primary field of study. Students in the program will learn about the economic structures, ethical concerns, industry norms, intellectual property structures, and career opportunities in the music industry and will offer graduates a competitive edge when applying to music industry internships and job opportunities.

About the Music Management Certificate
The Certificate is an additional credential to the student's transcript showing additional, specialized study in Music Management. Students who complete the Music Management Certificate will study with faculty who have worked in the music industry and understand how artists and music industry professionals can be successful in this competitive industry.
The Certificate Program consists of 12 credits. Students will take courses that cover copyright law, the music industry economy, concert promotion, record labels, music publishing, artist management, music careers, and have the opportunity to launch a group music industry project out into the world.

- MUSI 490 Music Management (3 Credits with approval of instructor)

Level of Proficiency to earn the Music Management Certificate
A minimum grade of C must be earned in each class in order to complete the certificate.
