Initial Eligibility
Your scholarship is intended to help cover costs for full-time enrollment. To receive this scholarship, you must:
- Be a first-year student who is a resident of the US.
- Understand the award amount offered is based on your state residency (in- versus out-of-state). Any change in residency will impact the scholarship amount offered.
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate, degree-seeking program that is offered in person. Students enrolled in undergraduate, online degree programs are not eligible.
- Understand that if you’re the dependent of a Millersville University employee and will receive a full tuition waiver, you are not eligible for this scholarship, and it will be rescinded. If you are the dependent of an employee at another university within the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) and will receive a partial waiver, your scholarship amount reduced.
-
Maintaining Eligibility
Your scholarship is renewable for up to four years (8 full-time semesters) for bachelor’s degree students and two years (4 full-time semesters) for associate degree students. To maintain your scholarship, you must:
- Remain enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits) each fall and spring semester. Completing 15 credits per semester is recommended to graduate within the scholarship's timeframe. Funds cannot be applied to winter or summer courses.
- Maintain continuous enrollment. If extenuating circumstances require you to take a leave of absence, please contact the Office of Financial Aid for consideration.
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher by the end of each academic year.
- Meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards. Visit millersville.edu/fa-sap for details.
The Office of Financial Aid will monitor your enrollment at the beginning of each semester and your progress at the end of each academic year to determine your continued eligibility. Please note that once lost, the scholarship cannot be regained, even if your academic performance improves.
