Carol & Marc Phillips Fellowship in Community Engagement Award
Awarded to a student(s) enrolled in a confirmed credit-bearing internship with a non-profit organization. First preference to a student(s) completing their internship as a site coordinator with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at the United Way of Lancaster County with a minimum GPA of 2.25. Second preference to a student(s) completing their internship at the United Way of Lancaster County with a minimum GPA of 2.25. Third preference to a student(s) completing their internship at non-profit organization with a minimum GPA of 2.25. Financial need will be considered but not a requirement. This scholarship is renewable.
Starbrad Excellence in Science Award
Awarded to a student with demonstrated financial need who is majoring in one of the sciences, with first preference to chemistry, and who is participating in an internship or cooperative experience. It is the donor’s hope that the award will assist the student in covering tuition costs associated with receiving credit for internship or cooperative experience participation. This is a one-time, non-renewable award of $1,000 offered to a selected student registered for a summer credit-bearing internship.
Susquehanna Bancshares Internship Program
Awarded to a student(s) who chooses to provide service to the community in the form of an unpaid internship in a nonprofit organization or government agency. Recipients must be enrolled at Millersville University and have completed 60 credits with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher at the time of application. Up to (10) ten $1000 one-time, non-renewable awards will be offered to selected student(s) registered for a credit-bearing internship.
