Director of Alumni Engagement

As Director of Alumni Engagement at Millersville University, I am passionate about creating meaningful connections with and among our alumni community. I am a proud Millersville graduate, earning both my undergraduate and master’s degrees here, and have a deep commitment to fostering the unique bond that Millersville alumni share. My role includes overseeing alumni programs, organizing key events like Homecoming and alumni awards, managing alumni communications, and ensuring our graduates stay connected to the life and mission of Millersville.

My journey to this role has been shaped by experiences that resonate with our alumni community. From studying abroad to participating in the Disney College Program, these opportunities enriched my academic path and shaped my perspective. Pursuing higher education, including two master’s degrees without student loans, is something I am especially proud of as I work toward my PhD in Literary Criticism, focusing on fairy tales, post-eco-humanism, and the Anthropocene.

I believe that education and a love of country are the foundation of a thriving democracy, values instilled in me by my grandparents. Growing up in a single-parent household and overcoming adversity, I have learned the importance of resilience, community, and education, and I bring these values to my work with the Millersville alumni community.

Beyond my role, I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife, Lauren, is my equal and other half, and our son, Emmett, is the joy of my life. Watching him grow has deepened my perspective on teaching, mentoring, and the legacy I hope to build for future generations.
