Prospective Transfer Students
Transfer Credits Accepted at Millersville University
Millersville University welcomes transfer students and values the diverse experiences they bring.
Nationally, 60% of students start their education at one institution and complete their bachelor’s degree at another, with 44% of all college students currently enrolled at community colleges.
Credit Transfer Guideliines
Millersville accepts transfer credits for courses in which students have earned a grade of "C-" or higher, provided an equivalent course exists. If no exact equivalent is offered, elective credits may still be awarded. However, the University does not grant credit for bible, religion, or theology courses, athletic participation, or experiential credits like internships. You can view our Course Equivalency Lists for more details.
Special agreements between PA Community Colleges and PASSHE institutions allow grades of "D" to be accepted, except for foundational courses like English Composition and Public Speaking, where a minimum grade of "C-" is required. While completing an Associate Degree is not necessary for admission, many students choose to finish their AA or AS degree before enrolling at Millersville.
Millersville University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) and accepts credits from other regionally accredited institutions.
