Millersville University Export Control

EXPORT CONTROL

Export Controls are federal laws that govern how technology, data, items, or materials are physically or electronically exported or shared from the U.S. to foreign countries, persons, or entities.  These laws protect national security and U.S. foreign policy interests. The Export Control Policy of Millersville University intends to comply with federal regulations and also protect you and your research.

What may be subject to Export Control:

  • On-campus research with foreign nationals
  • International travel
  • International shipping
  • Hosting foreign visitors
  • Procurement
  • Information technology
  • Working with restricted or sanctioned entities

If you have any questions about the types of situations that may involve export controls, please contact Jeffry Porter for assistance and guidance.
