The Learning Institute: Center for Advancing Justice and Human Rights

The Learning Institute: Center for Advancing Justice and Human Rights was established to provide all students and practitioners in the helping profession with the latest evidence on global social issues in order to glean knowledge that will enhance their skills and foster lifelong learning in order to be positive social change agents. Throughout each academic year a number of thematic trainings, workshops, global immersion experiences, and community service learning opportunities will be offered. These events will center around a specific global social issue such as youth violence, poverty, human trafficking, violence against women and children, and LGBTQIA rights. Millersville University’s Learning Institute is committed to developing global citizenship and influencing social change on domestic and international levels.
