Millersville University Bus Services
Millersville University Student Access
As part of general fee, M.U. students may access the MU Xpress and Route 16/Millersville without an additional charge. To use RRTA buses, you must have an RRTA Go Mobile bus pass. These cards can be picked up at the information desk in the Student Memorial Center for free. Students must bring their University ID card to receive a free Go Mobile card. When boarding, riders scan their card on the orange validator in the bus. Red Rose Transit Authority also offers an app, RRTA Go Mobile, that offers users a simple way to navigate its transit system.
For the Millersville University Ware Center located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster PA, use Route 16 and exit at the McDonalds on the corner of Water & King Streets.
Guests of students, as well as faculty and staff will be required to pay regular fare when boarding RRTA's Route 16. For other RRTA bus routes around the Lancaster area, please visit the Red Rose Transit Website under Quicklinks on this page.
For information regarding Bus Policy, Holidays, and Lost & Found visit the Bus Policies & Information page.
Transferring to other RRTA Routes
MU students who would like to travel to other locations on RRTA's buses will need to transfer. Transfers are free. If students have the RRTA Go Mobile Card, a transfer will automatically register on the RRTA Go Mobile card when the student boards the second bus and scans the card at the validator. Transfers are valid up to two hours.
