University Based Scholarships
Each year, the African American and Latino/a alumni offer a scholarship to current students who are U.S. citizens. Applications are available during the fall semester. Contact the Millersville University Alumni Office for more details.
During the spring semester, the Latina/o Studies program awards a scholarship to one student who has a 2.50 or higher cumulative grade point average, at least 15 credits earned, and is currently enrolled in the minor. Applications are sent to students who meet the scholarship qualifications. Students are chosen based on their essay and grade point average.
Other University scholarships are announced through the Development and Financial Aid offices. Typically, the deadlines are at the beginning of the spring semester. See the Financial Aid webpage for more information.
Community Based Scholarships
Local county-based foundations have given generously to our students. They have a rigorous and early application process. For students from Berks County see: Centro Hispano, Berks County Foundation. For students from Lancaster County see: Lancaster County Foundation. For undocumented students, the Feakins Foundation provides scholarships to Lancaster county students.
National Scholarships
Several national organizations offer competitive scholarships. We have been fortunate to have some of our students win these.
