Lexi is very excited to be working for the Center for Civic Responsibility and Leadership (CCRL) this year. After deciding on a career in Social Work, civic engagement fell to the wayside until she began attending Millersville University and took a social work policy class with Dr. Laura Granruth. After that, she realized that social workers have a place in policy and politics. Since then, she has been a CCRL Fellow, attended the 2024 Tri-State Campaign School for Social Workers, met with PA legislators, and rekindled her passion for civic engagement.
After graduating high school, Lexi pursued her Associate in Arts (AA) in Social Services from Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) and then transferred to Millersville and obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (BASW) in May 2024. She is currently working towards her Master of Social Work (MSW) degree as well as her School Social Work Certification and expects to complete both by May 2025. On the days that she is not in office at Huntington House, Lexi is working at her placement at a middle school in the School District of Lancaster. In her free time Lexi loves to participate in and attend local theater, read, and spend time with her dog, Nala.
