CCRL loved having mebers of the student body gather in the SMC atrium to watch live election results together. There was pizza, trivia, games and even a selfie station with a balloon arch! 

CCRL was excited to host two recent MU alum, Ruby Mundok and Madison Whitcomb, who both currently work in State Government! 

CCRL hosted another watch party for the Vice Presidential Debate between candidates JD Vance and Tim Walz. Those who attended enjoyed pizza, soda and bingo. Even Brooks came by! 

A few of the CCRL Fellows had the amazing opportunity to visit the state capitol in Harrisburg PA on Monday September 30th. The day began with a discussion with Senator Scott Martin and Senator Ryan Aument about the best ways to be civically engaged and active in their communities. Afterwards, the Fellows received a tour of the House Floor from Representative Ismail "Izzy" Smith Wade-El and even got to observe a portion of the PA House proceedings as well as be recognized by the Speaker of the PA House. Also in attendance for this visit was Dr. Granruth, the CCRL Coordinator, as well as Dr. Finley-Bowman, the Associate Provost for Student Success and the Dean of the University College. 

CCRL hosted an evening watch party for the Presidential Debate where students and staff gathered together to play bingo and watch history unfold.
