“There’s no rush to figure out your life. Your 20s are for trying, failing, and adjusting. And even beyond that, it’s certainly okay to pivot when needed. I was an oceanography major when I arrived at Millersville, almost switched to psychology, ultimately landed on marketing, and said I would never work for a nonprofit, and now will never not work for a nonprofit. Also, my career has certainly not been a straight line – more of a winding path, and I wouldn’t change it. The only thing that really matters is that you keep moving forward.”

- Has worked at Leg Up Farm since 2015. Leg Up Farm’s mission is to enrich the lives of individuals and families with special needs and unique challenges, through support and customized programs. Leg Up Farm is the only facility in the country to provide physical, occupational, speech and aquatic therapy, behavioral health services, nutrition counseling, therapeutic horsemanship, equine-assisted therapies, and educational and recreational programming under one roof.
How did Millersville University help you get to where you are today?
Millersville gave me a solid foundation for my career. The classes I took for my major were so comprehensive that I could have successfully followed any path in business. Also, I had an amazing internship in the marketing department which solidified for me that I wanted to pursue a career in marketing and gave me some valuable real-world experience.
