- Member of Omicron Delta Kappa honors society.
- Teaches two sections of Cultural Anthropology each summer for the Pre-Scholars Summer Institute at Millersville University.
- Hobbies include lifting weights, traveling, reading, playing video games, and watching sports (particularly the NFL, NBA, boxing, and pro wrestling).
- Married to Trachanda García, a fellow PASSHE alumnus from Lock Haven University. They have a rescued tuxedo cat named Jellybean

Millersville provided me with a solid education in Anthropology and Sociology, and several great professors that I studied under motivated me to pursue graduate study.
