Tables

This table is a multiplication table. The table's horizontal and vertical units are both twelve so the table is twelve by twelve. The use of twelve may be because of the numbers function in daily life. We see this use in values such as the quantity of a dozen or the measurement of distance in inches and feet.

These are additional tables found in this ciphering book. I have provided a hand written copy so that they can be seen more clearly. Table B represents the multiples of twelve. Table C starts with the values of 100 and 10, then 101 is added to the number in the left column. While 2 are subtracted from the number in the right column, this gives us 201 and 8. This is continued until the right hand number equals 0. The patterns starts over, we see 100 added to the previous number in the left column. This gives us 605 becoming 705, and the right column becomes 10 again. Similarly, 101 is added to the number in the left column while 2 are subtracted from the number in the right column. If this table was continued, I think the next values would be 1310 and 10. Table A looks interesting, but I am unable to determine its use.
