Ron Baker is an Associate Professor of Economics at Millersville University. He is currently teaching courses in microeconomics (principles, intermediate, and games and experiments).

Ron’s main research focus is in the field of experimental economics. Recent research topics include comparing group and individual decision making, public goods with matching funds, and the use of social information to increase charitable contributions. He is also interested in applied microeconomics. See his curriculum vita for a list of his working papers.

Ron is the faculty advisor for the Economics Society. This group of undergraduate students meets twice each month to organize various social (bowling, BBQs) and educational (seminars, business tours) activities. The Economics Society typically attends sessions at the annual meeting of the American Economics Association.  Ron has served as a member of the Millersville University Faculty Senate, Academic Policies Committee, Social Science Curriculum Committee, Academic Standards Committee, and is currently the faculty advisor for the Millersville Chapter of the Sigma Pi fraternity and the Men's Club Lacrosse Team.

Ron is a native of Latrobe, PA. He received his bachelor’s degree from Saint Vincent College in 1998 and his doctor of philosophy from Indiana University-Bloomington in 2005. He joined Millersville University in fall 2005.
