Development Models for Digital Skin, 2017 | Pipe cleaners | Dimensions variable

Location: Part of annual exhibition at Socrates Sculpture Park which chose 13 emerging artists by application.  The park is open every day of the year and serves as a community gathering place, space for art.

Concept: Created from artists’ previous billboard projects, the piece aimed to create an unexpected creature from an alternate world that communicates through images on its skin.

Process: I made modular “bones” out of wood, made pipe cleaner models to create the shape, and wrapped the structure with foam and then upholstered it with the billboards.
