About the Exhibition ...

In my show "House of Cuckoo Clocks" I present a range of art inspired by the horror genre.  A motif present in a lot of my work is the cuckoo clock, which I use as symbolism for my own mental health and the social stigma surrounding it.  I attempt to find comedy within horror, such as presenting cuckoo clocks like some sort of messed up fun house.  Within my drawings I often portray myself in strange positions and ridiculous situations as a way to not only challenge my own view of myself but to represent my views of my life experiences.  The goal of "House of Cuckoo Clocks" is ultimately for the viewer to take a look at the world through my eyes.
