About the Exhibition ...

Katie Weber’s work in ‘Cairn’ is a collection of works done both during her time studying at Millersville University as well as the summer after her graduation. The body of work when shown together is meant to serve as a cairn (a pile of rocks or stones built as a memorial). Each piece of art is its own little stone and piled together they become a cairn; a memorial of what God has done here, what God has taught her, and how he has grown her. The work is a mixture of fine art prints, ink drawings, and digital prints that depict emotions, struggles, praise, and all that falls in between.

About the Artist ...

Katie Weber is both a fine artist and graphic designer working with digital media as well as drawing, printmaking, and mixed media. Her work is rooted in her Christian background; she explores ideas of worship, biblical themes, and what God is teaching her. She uses her art as a way to process what God is teaching her and hopes that God will use it to teach others as well. She is graduated from Millersville University with A B.F.A with a concentration in Graphic Design in May of 2020.
