About the Exhibition ...

Skye Terry’s solo exhibition entitled “Virility” celebrates the charm of everyday life and explores the intricacies of the human condition, specifically relating to love and sexuality. The artist’s approach to each painting tends to vary. Her work often depicts seemingly ordinary scenes, but beneath the surface, there lies undertones of sexual tension. Other times, her approach is bold and unapologetic, demanding the viewer to confront their own taboos about sex and desire. Skye is interested in the power of suggestion, inviting the viewer to interpret her work on a much deeper level. Through raw and honest imagery of people in their most vulnerable moments, she hopes to prompt conversations about human connection and challenge the preconceived notions surrounding intimacy. The works in this exhibition ultimately serve as a reflection of the complex nature of existence through the interplay of the mundane and the sensual.
