About the Exhibition ...
Riley Grant’s solo exhibition “Evergrowing Essence,” reflects the recurring theme in her work of the deep connection and admiration to the natural world and environment around us. In her work, she utilizes nature as the main source of inspiration and intuitively invents whimsical and imagined landscape scenes and altered functional ceramic sculptures. Unity within her style and work in other mediums inspired her to display her appreciation for nature by creating her own envisioned mystical world. The approach to the stylization of her work comes from research of other artists and personal exploration and discovery throughout her academic years. She hopes her artwork can influence an emotional response from its dreamlike quality to further communicate her evergrowing attachment and adoration for nature.
About the Artist ...
Riley Grant, originally from Elkton Maryland, is currently attending Millersville University of Pennsylvania to obtain her Bachelors in Fine Arts and will graduate in May of 2025. Her fine art concentration is in ceramics and she volunteered countless hours as a ceramics studio tech and was the vice president of Slip and Score Society. Her work reflects her appreciation and admiration for the natural world and this is showcased through ceramic sculptures and oil paintings.
