About the Exhibition ...
microSCOPIC focuses on color, pattern, and shape inspired by what can be seen under the microscope. The show features a variety of mediums with a focus on metalwork. The goal of the artwork is to explore the hidden beauty of the microscopic world, transforming tiny, unseen forms into bold creations filled with color and texture. Each piece can be interpreted in numerous ways as to what it represents. Niya’s style is colorful, maximalist, abstract, and playful. This show is about seeing the unseen, invoking curiosity, and diving into a world that is often overlooked.
About the Artist ...
Niya Zurcher is from Coatesville, Pennsylvania. She is working towards a Bachelor of Science in Education in Art Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Fine Arts Metals at Millersville University. Her expected graduation date is May 2025. Through her work, she wishes to explore patterns and details from the microscopic view across a variety of mediums. Although her concentration is metal work, she enjoys working with other materials as well.
