About the Exhibition ...
gretawashere focuses on Greta’s personal journey of inner rage and self-acceptance with a fluffy pink exterior. This exhibition features metalwork, silkscreen prints, cyanotypes, paintings, and textile work. Greta’s metal and silkscreen work is edgy and bold, while her textile works, cyanotypes, and paintings are more delicate with a softer approach. Greta seeks a balance between feminine and industrial to create a conversation about societal expectations of mediums of art through a feminist lens.
About the Artist ...
Greta is an artist who was born in Lancaster, PA, and still lives there. She attends Millersville and is working towards her bachelor of fine arts degree with a concentration in fine art metals. She is graduating in May of 2025. Greta works as a gallery worker in the Eckert Art Gallery, a monitor in the Metals lab, and has held positions as secretary and treasurer for the Jewelry and Metal Arts Guild. Greta’s work shows a love for all things sharp and soft, with a passion for feminism and inner rage.
