Greetings from Union Presidents

AFSCME-MU

Welcome Millersville family,

The members of local 2421 AFSCME would like to welcome all returning and new students, faculty and staff. As a union we call each other brothers and sisters because we support and help each other as a family would. So, whether it's finding your way on campus or needing help in any other way, just ask. We are all here to support and aid in the success of our MU family.

In solidarity,

Doug Stettenbauer | President, Local 2421

Dear students, colleagues, and friends – welcome/back!

It gives me great pleasure to welcome the class of 2028 to our beautiful campus and to welcome back our returning students, passionate faculty, dedicated administrators, and caring staff.  On behalf of the Millersville chapter of APSCUF, the faculty union, I extend a warm welcome to all y’all.

As our newcomers have no doubt observed, our campus is a gem, nestled in a historic, scenic, and vibrant urban center; I hope you are exploring the area and enjoying your first weeks here. The faculty are excited to be back on campus among new and returning students, teaching the subjects we love and creating a supportive community with our friends and colleagues. We wish you an enriching and rewarding academic year.

In solidarity and with warmest regards,

Robyn Lily Davis, Ph.D. | President – APSCUF-MU

SCUPA-MU

Greetings to the University Community,

The State College and University Professional Association (SCUPA) at Millersville University extends a warm and hearty welcome to new and returning students, staff, and faculty.

We believe this year will present opportunities for renewal, challenge and change as our nation moves towards the impending presidential election and we consider the impact on education and the future of our students and their families. It is a time to motivate our young adult population who will be the leaders of tomorrow to stand up, find their voice and be heard. Their journey towards being an effective leader of tomorrow begins with their engagement and interaction as campus citizens today and our ability to motivate and empower them to engage, achieve, and succeed. We start the ripple today that will become the wave tomorrow.

SCUPA-MU is proud to continue to support, nurture, and encourage the academic and personal growth and development of our students. We believe a collaborative effort of persistence and determination to succeed by students, dedication and commitment to University EPPIIC values, vision, mission and strategic directions by staff, faculty and administration, and a balanced blend of respect and cooperation from all will be the key elements for achieving and sustaining student success and prosperity for the future of our campus community and beyond. We remain dedicated to that noble effort.

SCUPA- MU wishes the Campus Community a happy, safe, and prosperous academic year.

Rita M. Miller | President, SCUPA-MU
