Faculty Professional Development Council

FPDC Grants

The FPDC grant program supports a variety of faculty activities including research, student-faculty research, and other professional development activities. As in the past, applications will be due mid-December with awards made in March or early April. Previously, the ceiling for the awards has varied between about $8,000 and $14,000. Universities are usually allowed to submit 10 or more proposals, though we do not know what limits the council will decide on this year.

Please be advised that there will be no PASSHE Faculty Professional Development Council (FPDC) grant application cycle for the 2023-24 Academic Year.  The FPDC funding is directed by the APSCUF CBA.  The CBA ending June 30, 2023 did not include FPDC funding for any subsequent years.   The FPDC grant program is paused pending execution of the next CBA.

The FPDC program is an excellent opportunity for faculty in need of limited funding that will directly contribute to professional development and student engagement.

The applications for this competition are short - 5 pages with a one-page budget and justification.
