Grants & Scholarships

Grants and Scholarships are financial aid that does not have to be repaid.  Grants are based on financial need and require the FAFSA to be completed to obtain them.  Scholarships can be based on financial need or based on merit.



FEDERAL PELL GRANT

  • U.S. Department of Education determines student's eligibility for this source.
  • Awarded to degree seeking undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's degree.

FEDERAL SUPPLEMENTAL EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY GRANT (SEOG)

  • Administered by the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Awarded to degree seeking undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor's degree.

PENNSYLVANIA STATE GRANT (PHEAA)

  • The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) administers the PA State Grant.
  • Students must be residents of Pennsylvania and complete the application for PHEAA in order to be considered.

SCHOLARSHIPS

  • Millersville University based scholarships are offered through the Office of Financial Aid. Students must have an established GPA with Millersville and complete the applications, if required, in order to be considered.
  • Scholarships for freshman are offered through the Admissions Office. Information on these types of scholarships may be found here.
  • In addition to scholarships offered through Millersville University, students may research and apply to outside scholarships using National Scholarship Databases found here.
