Issues in Academic Integrity
The academic culture in your home country may vary from the academic culture in the U.S. Group work on projects, papers, or tests is not allowed in the U.S. unless the professor gives specific instructions and permission for this.
All international students are expected to follow the academic culture of the U.S. It is important to submit and take credit for your work only. Millersville University expects the highest level of academic integrity from all students.

Plagiarism
Plagiarism is taking credit for another person’s work or ideas. Common occurrences of plagiarism include not stating the source of quotes or information, as well as borrowing facts without citing the original source. It is extremely important to properly document sources when writing a paper and to not take credit for another person’s work or ideas.
To help avoid plagiarism and for general writing assistance all students are encouraged to utilize the services of the Chryst Writing Center and Annex. More information and tools for understanding and avoiding plagiarism can be found on the Plagiarism website.
Non-Academic Rights and Responsibilities
International students must abide certain rules and regulation at Millersville University. For more information, please review MU’s Student Code of Conduct. Failure to do so may result in suspension or expulsion from Millersville University, which will result in your SEVIS record being terminated.
