On Sunday, February 8, Millersville University freshman, Karlie Hall, died tragically. In honor of her memory, Millersville will be re-naming our peer health educator team, which focuses on dating violence, "Karlie's Angels". Gifts made to our Karlie's Angels fund will provide continued campus education, services, resources, and support directed at eliminating dating violence.
Karlie's Angels are a part of the Elsie S. Shenk Center for Health Education and Promotion at Millersville which coordinates all violence education programming on campus to ensure that consistent and ongoing messages are provided to students throughout their time at Millersville University. Peer Educators are hired and trained by the Center to provide education workshops, host awareness events, conduct marketing campaigns, and conduct outreach and information tables about dating and domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and healthy/unhealthy relationships to their peers.
