Were you convicted of a drug offense while receiving federal aid?

In order for the Office of Financial Aid to process your financial aid award accurately and efficiently, please make sure to answer this question accurately. Do not leave this question blank as it will result in not being eligible for federal aid until resolved. See below for more detailed information on how to answer this question and the steps you can take if you answer yes to being convicted of a drug offense while receiving federal aid.


ANSWER “NO”:

  • If you have never received federal student aid or if you have never had a drug conviction for an offense that occurred while receiving federal student aid. 

ANSWER "YES":

  • If you have a drug conviction for an offense that occurred while you were receiving federal student aid. Even if you answer "yes", make sure to still complete and submit this application. You will be mailed a worksheet to help you determine if your conviction affects your eligibility for aid. If you are unsure how to answer this question, call 1-800-433-3243 for help.
