About the Eckert Art Gallery

Established in 2012, the Eckert Art Gallery’s mission is to present diverse, dynamic and meaningful visual art experiences to inspire learners to grow both intellectually and personally. It is the University’s main exhibition space, dedicated to providing high-quality exhibits that feature nationally and internationally recognized artists with the goal of infusing the local and regional art community with new perspectives and exceptional visual art. These exhibits serve as the underpinning for a variety of high impact student learning experiences such as artists talks, master classes, critiques, performances, class visits and more. These educational experiences are also an opportunity for students to meet renowned artists who can serve as role models, helping students to envision their own professional futures.

The Gallery is quickly becoming recognized as a worthy and enriching destination for students and community members, with over 2,400 gallery visitors during the 2019-20 academic year.
